Efficiency of the Electric Energy Generation in the Turów Power Station
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 503, 1 2 figs
Presented are efficiency indices of the Turów Power Station during the forty years operation and ways of improvement them. Described are present state of the diagnosis of mentioned parameters.
New Turbines in the Turów Power Station
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 507, 1 tab.
The 1 3CK230 Turbines are characterised generally. There is described co-operation of the turbine with the boiler and are given kinds of the power unit operation. Described are design and functions of the TURBTROL6 electronic controller. Advantages of the use of the TURBOMAX system for the thermal stresses supervision are given.
Diagnostics of the Power Plant Operation
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 5 0
Described are essential diagnostic activities concerning main equipment and auxiliaries of the power units in the Turów Power Station used at present. These activities are aimed at the earlier detection of the equipment dysfunction and it decreases number of emergency outages and enables rational overhaul planning.
Integration of Information in the Power Station
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 5 6, 9 figs, 3, 6 refs
Presented are reasons of the creation an Integration System of the Information. Discussed are functions of the system and it possibilities as well as expected economic and organisational effects. There is stated, that it is necessary to assure useful information and to deliver to end users an indispensable information only. Discussed are three essential application modules: budgeting, production process moni-toring and one concerning overhaul tasks. There is proved that data integration in the power industry is a way for it adaptation for coming changes in the economy.

Cobwebs. Tele-Informatic Grids in the Power Station
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 523, 6 figs, 6 refs
Presented are tele-informatic grids created in the Turów Power Station. Discussed is the Ethernet industrial bus as a system connecting all objects in the power station. The tele-informatic grids, as a main nerve of information in the power station, as well as development of fibre-glass networks are presented. There is paid an attention to solu-tions enlarging a service security of these systems.
The Power Company of XXI Century Friendly for Environment
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 564, 8 figs
Given are elements of environment protection system in the Turów Power Station, among them following can be numbered:, air protection, emission measurements, imission monitoring system of atmosphere, water - sewage handling system and wastes handling system. As a result of the environment protection system, the power station has become an environment friendly power company.
Modernisation of the Power Station
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 570, 1 figs
Presented is a modernisation programme of the Turów Power Station, as at the central level, as at the local level as well. Described is a course of subsequent stages of the modernisation. Given are more important systems and equipment beyond the power units being subject of modernisation, as well as investments accompanying the mod-ernisation.

Water Treatment Plant for the Boiler Water Cycle
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 574, 4 figs
Thanks to modernisation of the water treatment plant in the Turów Power Plant, there have been implemented many advantageous changes and as result there has been achieved an economical, ecological and operation improvement of the plant. There are given solutions used for that purpose.
Bio-Corrosion in the Power Industry
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 579, 3 figs, 3 tabs
There is proved, that proper and efficient protection against the corrosion should be based on reliable recognition of reasons and mechanisms of occurring phenomena. An importance of the role of micro-organisms in the corrosion process is omitted frequently and not efficient and without need expensive fight against the corrosion is used.
Economical and financial aspects of Power Plant activity.
Energetyka 2002, No. 8, p. 587
