Choice of Optimal Size of Heat Tank at Assigned Real Load Curve in a CHP Plant with a Back-Pressure Turbine
Energetyka 2001, No. 9, p. 507, 12 figs, 3 tabs, 11 refs
There is described a methodology of choice of optimal size of a heat tank on the base of curves of real heat demand for heating purposes from a CHP station equipped with two back-pressure turbines. A calculation methodology is discussed and achieved results within a frame of technical and economic analysis is presented.

Strength Criteria for State Assessment of Power Pipelines after Many Years? Operation
Energetyka 2001, No. 9, p. 528, 9 figs, 14 refs
There is made an analysis of technical state of pipelines used in the power industry in conditions of mechanical and thermal influences. Material, geometrical and dynamic conditions of fatigue phenomena are discussed with an example of chosen objects. There are elaborated models of investigated objects. Areas of the greatest stress are defined and characteristics of cyclical changes of stresses in chosen elements of pipelines are established.
