Automatic Control of Combustion in Double-Fuel Boilers- -Gas-Coal Fuelled Exemplified by Modernised OP-140 Boilers in Zofiówka CHP Station
Energetyka 2000, No. 9, p. 46, 1 tab., 3 figs, 3 refs
There is presented an automatic control of the flue gas temperature before vanes not used up-to-date in power units and CHP units; it levels operation conditions of rotary air heaters, so improves the efficiency of whole unit. Inspection of flue gas emission confirms, that double-fuel OP-140 boilers fuelled with a coal and methane from coal mine de-gassing system are special friendly for the environment, because combustion of the gas not useful for municipal purposes decreases coal consumption.Modernisation of the boiler combustion system consisting in a zone combustion with minimal air excess, automatically controlled, enables to achieve emission lowering of NOx.

Chemical Regimes of Water-Steam Circulating Loops of 360 MW Power Units in the Opole Power Station in an Aspect of Power Unit Shut-Down, Standstill and Start-up
Energetyka 2000, No. 9, p. 80, 3 tabs, 7 refs
In the conditions of more liberalised electric energy market and more deve- loped competition more important is an analysis of energy losses and costs connected with a cycle shut-down, standstill and start-up of the power unit. A new approach, taking into consideration minimisation of cost, is also required in problems of start-up losses, described in many publica- tions. In order to limiting effects and costs connected with frequent start- up cycles of power units there is necessary among others to elaborate and consequently keep optimal chemical regimes of water-steam circulating loops of the power units.
