Axial fan with rear guide vanes

Presented is a new construction of axial fans (with increased efficiency in comparison with the original ones) with rear guide vanes, serving to force a coolant through high-power generators, on the example of 230 MW type TWW-230 generator. Described is the process of designing and flow tests in the fan model scale.

Development of power transformers production in „Energoserwis" S.A. in the aspect of the applied constructional solutions

On the examples of the hitherto realized constructions, presented is an influence of clients' requirements on the applied constructional solutions and development of designing methods. Influence of initial stresses on selected vibration parameters calculated for electric machines

High vibration forces and amplitudes occurring in the resonance state or close to it, are dangerous for electric machines. Dynamic stresses, accompanying the vibrations close to resonance frequencies, lead to fatigue failure. That is why an electric machine must be designed in order to avoid occurring of working vibrations close to the resonance state – it means that the frequency of its free vibrations must be in a safe distance from frequencies of exciting forces. Presented is an influence of initial stresses on free vibration frequency of a selected constructional node of an electric machine.

Reverse Engineering mobile group in „Energoserwis" S.A. company

Described are selected works of „Energoserwis" S.A. mobile group Reverse Engineering. Activity of this group consists in taking measurements of electric machines geometry in electric power plants in our country and farthermost places of the world. Presented is measuring methodology with the use of Faro Quantum measuring arms equipped with laser heads as well as CimCore Series 3000i. Application of these devices, together with the most modern type CAD/CAM programs and many years of workers' experience, enables measuring of all generator sub-assemblies of a very complicated geometry like winding, output current terminals and water pipes connections. The use of a laser head diminished the risk of making an error in comparison with traditional measuring technologies. It also allowed for increasing quality of produced elements, thanks to possibility of carrying out detailed and fast recording of an element geometry and comparing it with the existing CAD model.

20 years of Kombi chemical regime in the Polish power industry

Summarized is an experience gained during implementation of the oxygen-ammonia regime called Kombi, for forced circulation boilers in power units of 360 and 500 MW specific power output. Discussed is technological process and implementation course of the full Kombi regime with dosaging of gaseous oxygen to the feed water and, additionally, to the main condensate. Presented are effects resulting from application of this regime.

Hydrazine and its derivatives for steam boilers blowdown

Mentioned are problems concerning cleaning of a boiler superheater system, including steam pipeline leading to a turbine, by means of the so-called boiler blowdown method with the use of its own steam. Discussed are conditions of a proper blowdown process course with special regard to fee d water preparation. Presented are efficiency research results of the selected preparations for water correction, resulting in recommendation of activated hydrazine. The attention is paid to correction agents dosaging sets safe for servicing personnel.

Testing of ionite MPR1000® working effectiveness for conditioning of real water used in power plants

Discussed are MPR1000® ionite suitability tests carried out in normal operating conditions in three different power plants, using various kinds of raw and waste water for production of demineralized water and applying various technologies for their preconditioning. Results of these tests confirm working effectiveness of this ionite for removing impurities like organic substances, iron and suspended solids, harmful for the work of water demineralization station.

Research on the basic fuel properties of selected industrial wastes and fuels formed from wastes

Presented are results of research on moisture content, elementary composition and combustible and non-combustible parts of such materials like agricultural and food industry wastes as well as fuels formed from industrial wastes. The examined post-production wastes are extracted rapeseed meal (oil and fat industry waste) and solid wastes from potato flour production (food industry waste), while fuels formed from wastes are PAS'r, PAS'i and Ecomat. Examined are also fuel properties of coal and biomass composite. All these substances are, or can be, used as autonomic fuels or co-combusted with conventional fuels both in municipal and industrial power engineering. Presented are results of stoichiometric calculations of each individual material perfect combustion.
