What is the quality of gas our cars run on? Results of LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) quality tests carried out in the years 2006-2007
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 624
Given are results of LPG quality tests carried out in the years 2006-2007.
Examined were 100 samples collected at 100 different fuel stations situated in 7 selected provinces in Poland. Investigations concerned stations both belonging and not belonging to fuel companies, during summer and winter seasons. Proved is that 31% of examined samples did not meet standard requirements.
Pre-tensioned prestressed concrete whirled poles as support construction of 15 kV triple-circuit overhead line consisting of 70 mm2 cross-section covered conductors
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 630
Pre-tensioned prestressed concrete whirled poles produced by WIRBET S.A. from Ostrów Wielkopolski are applied for many years in erecting MV and LV power lines. OWTS diagnosis method - a perfect tool for effective management of MV cable network property
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 632
Described is OWTS assembly enabling power cable diagnosing independently on the type of insulation, from several meters to several kilometers, with the capacitance of diagnosed objects exceeding 4 µF. The OWTS assembly is composed of a MV unit, stable inductance coil, interference-free connector, partial discharge detector and analysing computer. The line which must undergo the test is connected to the OWTS system.
Modern and reliable "wig power" appliances in guaranteed supply systems
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 640
In MEDCOM company a modern DC supply system of a very big output was elaborated and put into operation in 2005. The 3,3 kA output current feeder is adapted for charging and discharging batteries of extreme capacities. Modules are equipped with active input filter enabling the intake and return of energy without current distortion. The assembly can at the same time compensate distortions injected by other big power receivers working in the feed system.

Verification of coal sampler work quality in power industry in the aspect of commercial settlements and CO2 level monitoring
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 651
Mentioned is the problem of representative coal sample collecting for tests with the help of mechanical and automated samplers. Presented are principles and such an installation work verification methodology when a local laboratory is being prepared to achieve required accuracy in determining CO2 emission factor, C element content and calorific value. Given are some examples of practical verification results in one of electric power stations.

Solar collectors - economic profitability of their application for utility water heating
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 669
Presented is economic profitability analysis of applying solar installation in a typical detached house. On the basis of investigations carried out on a test stand in the years 2002-2005, return time of investment when various conventional energy carriers were replaced by solar installation and specific cost of energy generated by this installation was calculated. It is evident that application of solar installation in a typical detached house is profitable only when you replace the most expensive energy carriers like electric energy, liquid gas (propane) and fuel oil.

Energy Law - proposed alterations in the scope of electric power engineeringe
Energetyka 2007, nr 9, s. 676
Formulated are theses which condition desired shape of the new act called Energy Law. Mentioned are four problems concerning basic differences between regulations in corporational-optimizational and market-competitive circles. They are: electric power engineering ability to respond market signals, accessiblity of capital needed to finance investments in the electric energy market, revolution in power engineering in the USA and the UE and Poland's power safety in the perspective of 2020. Given are proposals of basic solutions.
