Methods of choosing optimum thermal structures for coal power plants and CHP stations needing odernization
Evolving the optimum investment strategy concerning modernization projects is the necessary investigation and project task. Taking rational decisions concerning the existing coal power plants and CHP stations modernization methods needs defining the optimum technology and optimum thermodynamic parameters of such thermal processes which will guarantee economic profitability of the project. Therefore it is compulsory to formulate adequate algorithms and to solve problems concerning the optimum thermal structures choice for the existing coal power plants and CHP stations needing modernization.

Efficiency conditions of vertical integration in Polish power companies
Vertical integration is of advantage to syndicates deciding to introduce it - they are also considered by creditors to be more trustworthy than others.
But achieving success in consequence of integration processes is subject to many factors - first of all to the accompanying restructuring processes in the power industry and ensuring the functioning of the competitive energy market. Properly executed energy producers vertical integration with distributive companies can be a solution to make fulfilling of complicated reconstructing and modernizing investments easier.

Balancing buyers' one-hour power demand with the use of load profiles
Changes in ESC balance regulations allow to balance all authorized buyers using deviation settling prices shaped in the TSO (transmission system operator) balancing market. Balancing costs can be quite easily determined also when you do it on a basis of a buyer load profile. But determining these profiles can be difficult and not very reliable for DSO. In case of mass buyers, especially those belonging to G fare group, one can well use results of electric energy buyer variability studies carried on by PTPiREE from 2003.

Reliability test results of flow cooling system machines and installations in a 1600 MW hermal power station
Presented are flow cooling system machines and installations reliability determining methods used in thermal power stations, taking as an example a power station situated on the river Wisła. Given is detailed description of the power station cooling system in C1 arrangement (for 4x200 MW). Described is the investigation range and choosing of reliability determining methods. Presented are, for the above arrangement, cooling system preliminary reliability test results.

On the "UE track" - easier with Energopomiar. Key-targets of our actual activity in power industry
Presented is short account of Energopomiar activities TV presentation broadcast in March 2006. Mentioned are more important problems and operations connected with energy market, fulfilling the UE directives as well as gaining funds for investments and pro-ecological modernizations. Very important element influencing dynamic development of this power industry sector are ecological aspects.

Measurements of coal and bio-mass combusting fluidized bed boiler
Presented are test results of a modern circulation fluidized bed boiler adapted to combust coal and bio-mass (bark and sawdust) mixed in various proportions. The investigation concerned wide range of guarantee and running tests for different fuel conditions. Discussed are obtained performance and ecological indexes of the boiler. Ascertained is, among other things, that technologies used in the boiler match emission standards coming in force only after 1st Jan. 2016.

Local discharges expansion in generator stator intercoil insulation
Detection of initiated high power rotary machines stator winding insulation fault is possible with the use of - among the others - constant voltage non-destructive diagnostic method. The attention is paid to modern insulations ageing, tending towards enlarging the range of interoperational inspections in winding production as well as making proper diagnosis of insulation technical condition assessment and its wear level evaluation.

Evaluation of colza oil usefulness as boiler fuel
Considered is possibility to use non-processed colza oil as fuel for typical heating installations. Assessed are colza oil properties in comparison with other liquid fuels like furnace oil and higher fatty acid methyl ester. The attention is paid to fresh colza oil ignition temperature determination problems as well as determined is the minimum furnace oil fraction in colza bio-fuel below which there are problems with ignition assurance.
