Investments in Power Stations - Some Technical and Economic Indices of Power Units with Gas Turbines
Energetyka 2005, No. 1, p. 11
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 1), 1 fig., 5 tabs, 11 refs
Presented are the most characteristic technical and economic indices of the generation equipment of new generation installed and to be installed in Polish power industry - power units with gas turbines. Given are results achieved during the guarantee measurements and assessment of fulfilment guaranties given by manufacturers. The indices are compared with indices of coal fuelled power units.

MEGAPAR S Binding Mixture for Road Construction with Share of Combustion By-Products
Energetyka 2005, No. 1, p. 15
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 5), 5 figs, 2 tabs, 8 refs
Presented are test results of properties and usefulness of new material consisting of fly ash from Jaworzno III Power Station as one of substantial components. There is proved that it is possible to use this material for road foundation without environment contamination. Discussed is construction and commissioning of new plant in the power station which the fly ash and slag is used in. The attention is paid to many advantages which beneficiary of is the environment first of all.

Establishing Electromagnetic Parameters with the Use of Three-Dimensional Analysis of Magnetic Field in Transformers Serving for Feeding Multi-Pulse Rectifiers
Energetyka 2005, No. 1, p. 35, 11 figs, 2 tabs
Described are connection schemes and operational conditions of transformers in converter schemes. Operation of the three phase transformer designed for feeding the 12-pulse parallel bridge rectifier is analysed and a calculation model is presented. Basing on calculation of the magnetic field, short circuit reactance of transformer particular phases are established. Given are conclusions.

Numerical Defining Temperature Distribution in the Power Boiler Furnace Chamber
Energetyka 2005, No. 1, p. 45, 3 figs, 1 tab., 9 refs
Calculation methods described in the paper enable to calculate power boiler furnace chambers and to establish the temperatures in them in quite accurate manner. The temperature distribution achieved with the use of FLUENT programme deserves for special attention. It gives a full picture of the temperature distribution in the boiler furnace chamber.
