Modernisation of TGH-120 Generator Rotor Increasing to 130 MW Generator Nominal Power
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 594, 7 figs, 1 tab., 12 refs
The manufacturing in Poland of first TGH-120 generators began in 1962 on the base of license of British company - AEI. They have operated in domestic and foreign power stations. Modernisation scope of the TGH-120 generator rotor has comprised till now of changes in the current lead out system and the head of sliding rings. In nineties of the previous century the manner of settling and securing the rotor caps was changed. Presented is the modernisation of the TGH-120 generator rotor enabling increase to 130 MW of the generator nominal power. This modernisation was elaborated by Energoserwis in Trbovlje Power Station (Slovenia) in 2004.

Energy Saving 160 MVA, 22 kV Grid Auto-Transformer - New Product of Energoserwis Arisen with Use of New Design Techniques
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 598, 7 figs, 1 tab., 8 refs
First auto-transformer of the RtdxP 125000/220 type was overhauled by Energoserwis in 1973 already. The overhauls of 25 auto-transformers of this type was made up to the end of nineties of the previous century. Energoserwis began since 1998 the manufacturing of transformers in wide scope, so design of the new auto-transformer has been in the offer of the firm since the very begin of its transformer manufacturing. In Energoserwis have been elaborated several alternatives of the new ANER3L 160 000/220 auto-transformer with winding outputs 160/160/16 MVA.

Power Losses Induced by Higher Harmonics of Current and Voltage
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 608, 10 figs, 3 tabs
Higher harmonics are treated as disturbances occurring in the power systems as a result of utilisation of non-linear receivers. Decreasing share of the resistance receivers in the load and increase of the share of receivers deforming voltage and current causes the need of presentation the problem in the aspect of losses of electricity consumers. Manufacturers of the electric equipment, offering the energy-saving equipment are not interested in global effects of this equipment use and in losses at other consumers to be occurred as an effect of the voltage deformation.

Use of Whirled Poles as Suspension Structures for 110 kV Lines
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 614, 9 figs, 1 tab., 9 refs
Presented material enables to ascertain that in era of more and more restricted social protests making hard an extension of HV lines, the poles made of pre-stressed whirled concrete are a serious alternative for other solutions in the HV lines. Positive operational experiences and successful solutions of the 110 kV lines with supporting whirled poles give a base for the next step. It will be the elaboration of the strong poles for the 110 kV line based on the whirled poles.

Methodology of Analysis and Evaluation of Value of Privatised Power Stations and CHP Stations and Heat and Electricity Market Supplied by Them
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 619, 5 figs, 2 refs
The privatisation of the power stations and CHP stations means also the privatisation of the national power market. About the sale price of the power companies should decide the market of heat and electricity supplied by them, but not their asset value. As it arises from calculations, the sale price of existing power station (offered by the State Treasury) at real prices of the energy carriers should not be more lower, but even roughly equal to the difference between the investment expenses for the new power station of the same output to be erected and investment expenses of renovation and modernisation of the power station to be sold.

Actions in Bełchatów Power Station Against Noise in Work Environment
Energetyka 2005, no. 9, p. 655, 4 figs
Bełchatów power station, similarly as other power stations, is a plant characterised by the great amount of installed equipment, so as a consequence it cause great menace for workers from the noise, vibrations, dusting and high temperature. With regard to specifics of production the noise with lower or greater intensity occurs almost in every object and in every work place and in many of them it exceeds considerably the admissible standard.

Energetyka 2005, no. 9, s. 662, 14 refs
Made is a brief overview of methods used for calculations of transformer electromagnetic fields, especially the methods developed in Institute of Electric Machines and Transformers of Łódź Technical University (present name: Institute of Mechatronics and Systems of Informatics). Mentioned is the method of mirror reflections, in a link with analogue models recreating the electric field distribution of windings and describing the electromagnetic fields in steel parts of the frame. Given are modelling criteria for the electromagnetic field applied to physical and mathematical models when they are solved numerically with the use of computers.
