An Optimal Choice of the CHP System for Defined Types of Objects
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 381
Presented are choice possibilities of optimisation method of CHP systems for various types of objects (offices, hospitals, residential buildings, etc.) Kind of analysed object extorts the choice of a way of conducted analyse in respect of technical and economic problems. In the paper is presented a technical choice of the CHP system for real object with the use of genetic algorithms and analytical techniques.

Minimisation of Costs for Preventing Service with the Aid of Monte Carlo Simulation with Genetic Optimisation
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 385
Gas Turbines are characterised by high costs of service. It is one of main reasons of limited interest in use in the country of CHP systems. In the paper are presented possibilities of use of computer simulation techniques and genetic optimisation which enable to determine an optimal service path for any sub-group of turbine equipment. Such an approach enables to decrease costs born for inspections and overhauls of the gas turbines.

V Framework programme European Union. Concerted actions and Thematic networks CAME-GT - Objectives and Scope of Activity
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 390
The 5th frame programme of the European Union comprises so called thematic grids which are aimed at co-ordination in Europe of works from given field. One of such grids is CAME-GT entitled: the thematic grid for clean and more efficient gas turbines. Its implementation is described.

Determining an Expanding Curve of the Steam in the Turbine
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 392, 3 figs, 3 tabs, 5 refs
Proposed is an algorithm for determining an expanding curve of the steam in the turbine of any type. It enables to write easy a programme which can be used also as a sub-programme, e.g. in a model of an investigation of a thermal scheme for a power station or CHP station. The algorithm was tested and accuracy of achieved results was defined.

About the Need of Change the Method of Loss Shaping in Distribution Transformers
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 396
Given is an analysis of loading ability (at maximal efficiency) of dome-stic transformers and transformers manufactured in the European Union according to harmonising documents: HD 428 and HD 538. A method of cost capitalisation arisen from these documents is described. It enables to evaluate transformer losses and prices. Suggested is to treat these harmonising documents as the national standard.

An Analysis of Influence of Turbine Efficiency on the Heat Generation Cost in the Gas-Steam CHP Station with the Use of Averaged Temperatures
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 402, 7 figs, 4 refs
Presented is a method of thermodynamic and economic analysis of a steam gas system according to averaged temperatures when considering the entropy. Using this method, an influence of efficiencies of steam and gas turbines on the heat generation cost in the steam - gas CHP station is investigated. There is proved that if eliminate the gas turbine from the steam - gas CHP station and substitute it using a turbo-expander, it could cause lowering the heat generation cost.

Use of the SRZ-AMP Microprocessor Recording System for Determining Turboset Power Angle
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 421
(Bulletin of the Instytut Energetyki p. 15), 10 figs, 6 refs
Presented are atypical functions of the SRZ-AMP recording system installed for power units in the Bełchatów power station. The SRZ-AMP, except of measuring generator phase voltages and currents, as well voltage and current of exciting system, measures the voltage of 100 Hz ancillary exciting generator mounted on the generator shaft and calculates run of such values as generator active and reactive power, rotor rotation speed, generator power angle, an angle between generator electromotive force and voltage of infinite grid. As
a result, in the case of eventual failure there can be achieved the same values, as values achieved from simulation programmes used for after-failure analyses. Therefore, there is a possibility to verify an accuracy of simulation calculations. The way of defining the power angle and angle between the rotor and equivalent infinite grid enables to control them in the real time.

Power Load of Overvoltage Limiters for Protection the Condenser Batteries and Their Choice
Energetyka 2004, No. 7/8, p. 427
(Bulletin of the Instytut Energetyki p. 21), 11 figs, 2 tabs, 15 refs
Proposed is a method of calculation of power menaces of overvoltage limiters protecting condenser batteries. This method uses, as a mathematical analysis of a circuit, as measurement results in real grids as well. When it is computer aided it enable to define quickly and quite precisely the power load of overvoltage limiters designed for protection of the condenser batteries.
