Modern Microprocessor Systems in the Power Industry
Energetyka 2003,no.2,p.95
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p.1), 2 refs
There are discussed,on the base of own experience, some general questions concerning the solution of the automatic control, measurements, relay protection, control, recording and signalling in the power industry.Old solutions utilising analogue technology with new ones based on the digital technology are compared and answered is the question „what really has changed ?".Given are suggestions how to organise the power system management using the modern SCADA system.

Assessment of Compressor Sets in Domestic Gas Compressing Stations
Energetyka 2003,no.2,p.98
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p.4), 9 refs
On the base of guarantee tests made by the Energopomiar there is presented an assessment of aggregates compressing gas, installed in Poland in the natural gas transmission grid. Discussed is in general the methodology of these tests and measured operational indices of the aggregates, which can be useful at designing and constructing objects of such kind in Poland.

Infrared Spectrophotometry Utilisation for Determination the Oxidation Inhibitor and Ageing Products in Turbine Oils
Energetyka 2003,no.2,p.101
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin s.7),3 figs,4 tabs,6 refs
Discussed are briefly conditions influencing the run of ageing process of a turbine oil and introduced means in order to extend the period of the oil utilisation. Methods (used in the Energopomiar) of tests and assessment of oil ageing with use of modern spectrophotometer made by the Japan firm JASCO are described.
Given and commented are examples of results achieved from inspection (for several years)of the oil state and usefulness for chosen turbines.

Deliberations of a Metrologist Implementing in a Measurement Laboratory a System Assuring Quality
Energetyka 2003,no.2,p.105
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 7),11 refs
Presented is an outline of changes in assessment way of measuring laboratories and influence of legal changes concerning measurements on this process. At this background problems of the measuring laboratory applying for the accreditation are briefly discussed. A special stress is put on questions of the conformity assessment of achieved measurement results with declared parameters of inspected objects.Presented is additionally a way of carrying-out measuring works by the Laboratory of Measurement Equipment in Energopomiar-Elektryka.

On a Need to Make More Exact Some Terminological Notions Used in the Power Industry
Energetyka 2003,no.2,p.109
(ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p.10),5 refs
At the course of tests and measurements during commissioning the power unit equipment there occurred problems arisen from not clearly formulated notions and controversial opinions concerning interpretation of some properties and performances of the equipment. Given are propositions arisen from these experiences (they are treated as indispensable) concerning making more clear definitions of the power to be achieved and start-up losses of equipment.Correct definitions of these notions have an essential importance at defining strategy of a power station (or CHP station)being a participant of the balancing electricity market.
