Methodology of optimum heat structures selection adapting coal-fired power stations to combined heat and power generation
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 701
Adapting power stations to combined heat and power generation will enablea substantial reduction of primary fuels consumption and emission of their noxious combustion products to the natural environment. Complex thermo-dynamic and economic analysis of adaptation methods is necessary. It is also essential to define economically justified distance between power station and heat consumers. Unfortunately all economic initiatives in our domestic power industry are delayed by a very slow process of privatization and market facilitation.Bernard WITEK
Modern structures of electrical energy supply on required quality level
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 712
Presented is a solution offering a customer to chose quality of the energy supplied on the basis of an elastic, reliable and intelligent feeding system (ENIUZ). The problem is directly connected with energy supply security because the highest quality level means both required energy parameters as well as reliability achieved by appropriate control options and distributed generation development. Described are methods and means for realization of the electric energy quality control system. For the purpose of the infrastructure management as well as protection and control functions realization the use of multiagent intelligent systems (MIS) is proposed. Described are the possibilities of MIS in distributed control. The problem of the supply system optimization has also been considered as far as planning and power flow optimization is concerned where both investment and distribution costs are minimized.

Winding insulation diagnostic of motors used in power engineering for its own needs
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 719
Presented are results of the author's own investigations concerning establishing the reasons of motor winding insulation failures and the off-line insulation diagnostic in drives used in domestic power industry for its own needs. Mentioned are contemporary used winding insulation technologies: Resin-Rich and VPI. Presented is the author's own opinion on failure reasons and types of motor insulation failures. Ascertained is that the off-line diagnostic of motor winding insulation is the basic and the most important investigation determining condition of winding insulation.

7th session – Live line works on power units and installations – Eighteenth lecture – Application of robotization and artificial intelligence technologies in live line operation
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 733
There is proved that the main advantage of jobs performed by robots is their ability to accommodate to changing conditions during working on distributing and transmission lines, especially the live ones, making perfor-med tasks more effective than now and reducing risks which the workers responsible for operating lines and substations in future are exposed to. It is really interesting to observe solutions concerning future applying of helicopters for diagnostic and exploitation works alike taking into account manned and unmanned flights.

Renewable energy generation in the process of biomass and coal co-combustion. Conditions of boilers operating in the light of investigation results
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 741
Presented are main factors conditioning wood biomass and coal co-combustion in power plants and CHP boiler installations. Compared are measurement results of various biomass kinds co-combustion tests on the basis of various technological boiler solutions. In the analyzis of test results conclusions are given concerning biomass influence on some boiler exploitation parameters – in energy and ecological aspects.

Problem with purity of cooling tower cascading system fed by chemically corrected raw water
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 748
Discussed are reasons of cooling tower cascading systems pollution during operation and in particular reasons connected with quality of raw and current water. Presented are exemplary results of corrosion and biological investigations as well as investigations concerning composition and quantity of exploitation sediments. Described are possibilities to limit sedimentation of impurities.

Possibility to fire power boilers with water solution of colza oil mixtures with petroleum derivative oils
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 757
Colza oil mixtures with light and heavy oils make stable fuel mixtures not liable to breaking after a lapse of time. Physical and chemical properties of these mixtures keep their additivity in comparison with properties of components. Addition of colza oil to mazout improves its kinematic properties the more the bigger is its mass fraction and higher mixture heating temperature.

Selected problems concerning 49 par. of the Civil Code applied to power engineering objects
Energetyka 2007, nr 10, s. 766
Ascertained is that we cannot call appliances connected to a network as its component parts. If we admit that „network" is a set of composed objects we can talk about these appliances as installation component parts because installations are separate composed objects which can make a set and that we can call „network". According to this statement we can in no case call these appliances an eneterprise component parts. Par.49 of the Civil Code does not concern the problem of transferring the appliances ownership on behalf of an enterprise.
