Electricity Generation with Utilisation of Renewable Energy Resources. Second Part
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 311, 14-22 figs, 11-16 tabs, 43 refs
Presented are basic concepts and solutions in the field of power stations utilising geothermal energy, energy of sea tides, sea waves and thermal energy of the seas and power stations utilising the bio-mass. Present role and enlargement perspectives for renewable energy resources share in covering world power needs are discussed. Legal regulations enablingthe utilisation development of the renewable energy resources are also mentioned.

Power Unit Adaptation for Rapid Transfer from Full Load to Load of Auxiliaries
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 327 (ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 17),
2 figs, 3 refs
The power units in the national power system, in the light of requirementsof the "Operation guidebook of the transmission grid", should be equipped with the systems and equipment enabling effective rapid load decreasing to load of the auxiliaries for example. There is described in the paper an example of modernisation of the 120 MW power unit control equipment fulfilling this requirement with preserved traditional way of operation of the power unit - the same as the way of operation of other power units in the power station.

Improvement of Flue Gas De-dusting in National Power Industry
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 330 (ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 20),
7 tabs, 10 refs
Presented and compared are situations in the field of the boiler flue gas de-dusting occurred before and after 1990, with consideration of actual state, i.e. after Polish accession to the European Union. Given are previous and present requirements for the purity of flue gases emitted to the atmosphere. Discussed are technical means necessary to reduce the dust emission to the atmosphere. The attention is paid to the necessity of solving one substantial problem - excessive dust emission during the start-ups and shut downs of the boilers.

Washing-out of Impurities Arisen and Accumulated in Ionites
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 333 (ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 23),
1 fig., 5 tabs, 9 refs
Discussed are impurities occurring in ionites and their influence on ionite masses. An objective and a scope of tests concerning the washing-out of impurities and standard tests defining an actual ionite state are presented. As an example there are given test results of ionites used in the condensate conditioning plant of the power unit and these are compared with test results of new ionites of the same type. Given are conclusions and recommendations for users of the ionite plants.

Modern Measurement System for Transformer Diagnostics
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 339 (ZPBE Energopomiar Bulletin p. 29),
7 figs, 7 refs
Presented is a computerised equipment for the transformer diagnostics - a new product of creative thought of ZPBE Energopomiar-Elektryka Ltd specialists. Presented are assumptions of the equipment use arisen from its assignment. Presented is the hardware configuration, the software and typical functions of the equipment (measuring ones and concerning the analyses of the measurement results). Advantageous features of the equipment were proved in the practice. Therefore the equipment was awarded during ENERGETAB '2004 exhibition with the Medal of the SEP (Polish Electrical Engineers Association) Chairman.

Renewable Energy Generation in Opole Power Station.
Present State and Development Prospects
Energetyka 2005, No. 5, p. 343, 7 figs, 2 tabs, 12 refs
There are described in the paper: conditions for the renewable energy development, barriers of the development, the role of the bio-mass in the economy and co-combustion of the bio-mass and conventional fuels in the power industry. Generation of the renewable electricity in the Opole power station is characterised. Given are technological conditions, as well as legal and organisational conditions of the co-combustion of alternative and waste fuels together with the conventional fuels.
